Ball Badminton is a rural sport popular in our country which has been introduced in the Asian level. Karnataka has been a force to reckon with in the National level both in the men’s, women’s, boys and girls section. players from Mysore District and Chamarajanagar district have gone on to represent the state and country. Players like Srinivas Raje Urs, Dhurva, Lokesh, Srinivas have represented the state and country in the men’s section. In the women’s section Supriya has represented the State in the National level.
The Mysore district Ball-badminton Association has been promoting the sport and has been conducting the regular activities for improving the game in the District. They practice at the Maharaja’s Junior college grounds in the city.
