Sri Gopalaswami Memorial cricket tourney- Saraswathipuram SC clinches title
Helped by some good performances by opener Ashun Kumar Shetty (54), Goutham Sagar (45, 3×4, 2×6) and L.Karthik Kumar (three for 34), Saraswathipuram SC registered a 30-run win over RBNCC and clinched the title in the final of the Sri.M.Gopalaswami Memorial cricket tournament 2019-20, conducted by KSCA Mysore zone at the SDNR Wadayar
grounds here on Wednesday.

The Scores: Final: Saraswathipuram SC 228 for eight in 50 overs ( Ashun Kumar Shetty 54, Goutham Sagar 45, Yashaswin Gowda 35 n.o,S.Chaitanya 20,  M.B.Darshan four for 49, S J Nikin Jose two for 40) bt RBNCC 198 in 48.3 overs ( L.Hemanth Kumar 51, Kruthik Krishna 42, P.V.Preetham 35, L.Saishiv Narayan 21, L. Karthik Kumar three for 34, B.S.Suhas two for 34, S.Ankith two for 30).

KSCA Mysore zonal league-Shashank shines in RBNCC ‘A’s win
An excellent display of sustained fast bowling by K.Shashank (five for 28 & four for 35), helped RBNCC ‘A’ to register a big innings and 28-run win over FUCC in the two-day KSCA Mysore zone Ist Division league match played at the PET (Mandya) grounds on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The Scores: First Division: FUCC 118 in 29.1 overs ( T.Manjunath 51, S.Pradeep 27, K.Shashank five for 28, S.Chethan four for 23) & 94 in 35.5 overs ( R.Hemanth 39, K.Shashank four for 35, B P Munish Chengappa four for 25) lost to RBNCC ‘A’ 240 in 56.5 overs ( Syed Zain 72, Kruthik Krishna 65, A.Abhay Rangan 38, Sibtain Ali five for 63). RBNCC ‘A’ 5, FUCC 0.

Mysore CC 72 in 37.5 overs & 241 in 55.5 overs ( L.Nakul four for 15) & 241 in 55.5 overs ( Rohan Patil 60, Varun Kumar 40, Sandesh Jain 30, Shamanth Bhat four for 50) drew with Navodaya CC 112 in 46.2 overs ( M.G.Vinyas 40, Sandesh Jain seven for 33) & 21 for no loss in 6 overs.

KSCA Mysore zonal league-Varun shines in Saraswathipuram SC’s innings win
Mysore, Dec:7: A good allround performance by Varun (101 & three for 25) helped Saraswathipuram SC to register a facile innings and 122-run win over National CC in the two-day KSCA Mysore zone first division league match played at the JSS-SJCE grounds here on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The Scores: Ist Division: National CC 46 in 18.4 overs ( L.Karthik
Kumar four for 17, Varun three for 25) & 56 in 23.3 overs ( L.Karthik Kumar three for 10, V.Uttam Goda two for 10, L.R.Chethan two for five) lost to Saraswathipuram SC 224 for six  decl. in 33 overs ( Varun 101, S.Chaitanya 68, V.Yashswin Gowda 32, Vinay three for 46). Saraswathipuram SC, 5 points, NCC, 0.

Jawahars’ CC 298 in 82.1 overs ( Vinod 126, Dolysh 44, Shivaratan 26, Md.Yamin 20, Ravichandra four for 57, Pruthvi Shekar three for 74) drew with Jaihind CC ‘A’ 118 in 69 overs ( M B Vinay 24, Subhadip six for 36, Yogesh Gowda two for seven) & 15 for no loss in 5 overs. Sri Gopalaswamy Memorial cricket tournament-Nikin Jose shines in RBNCC’s win
Mysuru, Dec:1: A good allround performance by S.J.Nikin Jose ( three for 33 & 76 n.o.) helped RBNCC to register a facile seven-wicket win over Jo Jo CC in the semi-final of the Sri.M.Gopalaswami Memorial cricket tournament match played at the SDNR Wadayar grounds here on
Tuesday.
In the other semi-final at JSS-SJCE grounds, Saraswathipuram SC scored a big ten-wicket win over The Mysore Gymkhana to enter the final.

The Mysore Gymkhana, batting first, were skittled out for a paltry 30 in 15.1 overs. Gautham Sagar impressed with figures of five for 12. L.Karthik Kumar and M.Varun took two wickets each.

In reply, Saraswathipuram scored 32 for no loss in 2.4 overs, and registered a facile ten-wicket win. Opener L.R.Chethan remained unbeaten with 22.

The Scores: Semi-finals: Jo Jo CC: 187 in 46.1 overs ( G.L.Yashas 49, K.S.Lankesh 47, M.Venkatesh 20, M.B.Darshan three for 26, Saishiv Narayan three for 41, S.J.Nikin Jose three for 33) lost to RBNCC 189 for three in 34.5 overs ( S.J.Nikin Jose 76 n.o, B.Dheemanth 24, Kruthik Krishna 23 n.o, P.V.Preetham 21, L.Hemath Kumar 21 ).

The Mysore Gymkhana 30 in 15.1 overs ( Gautham Sagar five for 12, L.Karthik Kumar two for 11, M.Varun two for five) lost
to Saraswathipuram SC 32 for no loss in 2.4 overs.( L.R.Chethan 22 n.o).


KSCA Mysore zonal league-Kumar shines for NCC in drawn tie

Mysuru, Nov:30: A good allround performance by L.R.Kumar (110 & four for 29), helped National CC to gain the vital first innings points in their drawn two-day KSCA Mysore zone Ist Division league match played against Jaihind CC ‘A’ at the JSS-SJCE grounds here on Saturday & Sunday respectively.The Scores: Ist Division: Jaihind CC ‘A’: 95 in 45.1 overs ( L.R.Kumar four for 29, N.Bharath two for eight, C.Ritheesh two for 11) & 168 for six in 55 overs ( J.Kiran 47, M.B.Vivek 29)
drew with National CC 362 for seven decl. in 76 overs ( L.R.Kumar 110, C.Ritheesh 72, N.R.Madhava 65 n.o, Chakshu R Gowda 27, T.M.Ravichandra four for 84, Chethan two for 71). NCC,3 points Jaihind CC ‘A’,1.

Kasturirangan passes away
Former Mysuru (Karnataka) cricketer Gopalswamy Kasturirangan has passed away at the age of 89, in Bengaluru on August 19th 2020. He’d played 36 FC matches and picked 94 wickets. He also captained Karnataka and served Karnataka cricket in various capacities. He had a served as the Vice President of KSCA. He was also the Chairman of the Pitches Committee, BCCI. A great loss to The Bangalore Cricketers team. A great towering personality, humility personified, very humble and dignified individual. A great loss to Karnataka cricket. Our prayers to God, so that his soul rests in peace.
