Batting first, Mysore Warriors scored 148 in 19.4 overs. K.P.Karthikeya (36), Manoj Bhandage (38) were the main scorers. Nischith Rao impressed with figures of 4/34.

An unbeaten knock of 75 (42b, 4×4,5×6) by Ritesh Bhatkal enabled Mysore Warriors to register a well earned three wicket win over Gulbarga Mystics in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 match played at Hubli on Friday.

Batting first, Gulbarga Mystics posted 196/7 in 20 overs. Dhruv Prabhakar (51), Thippa Reddy (51) and Manish Pandey (41 n.o) were the main contributors. Medium pacer Arbind Kumar Rai (3/31) and Lavish Kaushal (3/25) impressed for Mysore Warriors.

Electing to bat, Hubli Tigers were restricted to 119/9 in 20 overs. Hubli Tigers lost their openers, Hardik Raj (8) and Mohd.Taha (2) early and were struggling at 21/2 in 2.6 overs. An all-round performance by Shreyas Gopal (84 n.o & 2/25) combined with a skipper’s knock of 61(32b, 6×4, 3×6) by Karun Nair enabled Mangaluru Coastal Kings to register a facile six-wicket win over Mysore Warriors in the first game on Thursday in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026 match played at the SDNR Wadiyar stadium grounds.

Set a target of 192 runs to win, Mangaluru Coastal Kings got off to a bad start by losing their first three wickets for 42 runs in 4.5 overs. An excellent rearguard action by skipper Karun Nair and Shreyas Gopal who added 123-vital runs for the fourth wicket in just 60 balls paved way for their team’s triumph.

Shreyas batted with ease executing some well timed drives, cuts and pulls and along with skipper Karun who was equal to the task too added to the misery of Mysore Warriors bowlers and they ended up scoring 195/4 in 17.4 overs and won by six wickets.

Earlier, Mysore Warriors opting to bat scored 191/9 in 20 overs. Opener L.R.Chethan continued his good form with the willow by scoring a stroke filled 67(35b,4×4,6×6). A good spell of fast bowling by left-arm medium pacer Abhilash Shetty (4/25) and a stroke-filled knock of 75(43b,5×4,6×6) by M.G.Naveen, enabled Shivamogga Yodhas to register a 42-run win over Hubli Tigers in the second match on Wednesday in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 match played at the SDNR Wadyar stadium grounds.

Electing to bat Yodhas scored 220/5 in 20 overs. Yodhas got off to a great start with openers Luvnith Sisodiya 57(33b, 6×4,3×6) and M.G.Naveen (75) adding 118 runs in 10 overs. Both the players played attractive strokes and took heavy toll of the loose deliveries bowled by Shivamogga’s bowlers.

Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026- Blasters score over Coastal Kings -Suraj Ahuja’s effort goes in vain

An all-round performance by skipper Shubhang Hegde (34 & 2/31) combined with an inspiring knock by dapper K.L.Shrijith 59(32b, 7×4, 2×6) enabled Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters to register a 20-run win, inspite of Suraj Ahuja’s unbeaten knock of 96(38b) and C.A.Karthik’s unbeaten 49(27b), over Mangaluru Coastal Kings in the first match on Wednesday at the SDNR Wadiyar stadium grounds.

Put into bat, Bengaluru Blasters posted a decent total of 226/6 in 20 overs. Shrijith (59) and opener Rohan A Patil (30) added 55-runs for the second wicket in 26 balls. Later Shrijith and Samith Dravid (39,21b, 3×4, 2×6) added 48-runs for the third wicket. Skipper Shubhang Hegde (34, 18b, 4×4) and Pravin Dubey (45 n.o, 21b, 6×4,2×6) added 47 runs in 24 balls for the fifth wicket which helped their team to post a good total. In reply, Mangaluru Coastal Kings scored 206/5 in 20 overs and fell short of the target by 20 runs. Put into bat, Mysore Warriors scored 203/6 in 20 overs. Opening batsman L.R.Chethan took heavy toll of the Blasters bowlers by striking the cherry to all over the park. He executed some excuisite lofted cover drives, pulls and straight drives over the in-field and kept the rival bowlers at bay.

Chetan and K.P.Karthikeya (65, 41b, 6×4, 2×6) added 169-runs for the third wicket in just 87 balls and enabled their team to post a good total.

The fifth edition of the DACS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 gets off to a start with a double header at the SDNR Wadyar stadium grounds in Mysuru on Saturday.

In the opening match, Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters led by Shubhang Hegde take on Manish Pandey’s Gulbarga Mystics.

K.L.Srijith, Pravin Dubey and Rohan Patil will be seen in action for the Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters. The Mystics features Macneil Noronha, M.Kranthi Kumar and B.R.Sharath.

In the evening clash at 7.30 p.m, Mysore Warriors take on Shivamogga Yodhas, led by R.Smaran. The Mysore Warriors are led by Vyshak Vijaykumar.

Former Test umpire Vikrama Raju passes away

Former international Test umpire Vikrama Raju (92), passed away due to age related illness in Mysuru on Sunday. The last rites were held in Mysuru on Sunday evening.

Vikrama Raju officiated in two Test matches between 1985 and 1986 which included the famous tied Test match between India and Australia at M.A.Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. He also officiated in five ODI matches between 1984 and 1988.

Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Season 5- Bengaluru Blasters, Gulbarga Mystics to play the first match on June 20th in Mysuru

The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 will be played in Mysuru, Hubballi and Bengaluru from June 20 to July 12th 2026.

Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters and Gulbarga Mystics will play the first match in the fifth edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 on June 20, before Mysore Warriors take on debutants Shivamogga Yodhas in the second match of the opening-day double-header in Mysuru.

The tournament will be held in Mysuru, Hubballi and Bengaluru, culminating on July 12.

Coastal Kings Mangaluru, also a new franchise this season, will make their tournament debut against Hubli Tigers on June 21.

The Mysuru leg will be held from June 20 to 26, before the action shifts to Hubballi, from June 27 to July 3. The tournament will then move to Bengaluru, from July 5 to 12.

Mysuru and Hubballi will host 12 matches each, while Bengaluru will stage 10 matches, including Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final, as the six franchises battle for the coveted title.

The player auction for Season 5 will be held on June 5th in Bengaluru, with more than 150 players set to go under the hammer as franchises assemble their squads for the upcoming edition of the tournament. The auction will be streamed live between 9am and 1pm on Sony Ten 5 HD/SD.

Maharaja Trophy T20 2026 to be held at SDNR Wadyar stadium, Mysuru from June 20th 2026

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), will be conducting the “Maharaja Cup T20” tournament 2026, at the SDNR Wadyar stadium grounds, Mysuru, from 20th June 2026.

The tournament will be held in three phases with the first phase and the third phase to be held in Mysuru. The second phase will be conducted at the KSCA stadium in Hubli.

The 20-day tournament will show case the talented cricketers from Karnataka who will represent the six franchises in the Maharaja Trophy T20 tournament 2026.

The tournament will begin on 20th June and conclude on 12th July 2026. The tournament will be broadcast live by Sony TV channel.

The Maharani Trophy T20 tournament 2026, will also be conducted by KSCA and four franchise teams will take part in this edition of the tournament.

This was announced by KSCA in a press conference held at KSCA, Bangalore, today.

BCCI U-23 Women’s One day trophy- Mysuru girl Saloni shines as Karnataka enters final

Mysuru girl P. Saloni representing Karnataka took her second successive four wicket haul (four for 20) to guide her side to the final of the BCCI U-23 Women’s One day trophy following a seven wicket victory over Mumbai on Friday.

Saloni had also scalped four wickets in the quarterfinal against Uttarakhand (four for 18), and her effort over Mumbai was well complimented by Niki Prasad (49 n.o) and Soumya Verma (45 n.o) as Karnataka chased down the 135-run target in 26 overs.
