Roller skating is a popular sport in Mysore. Many of the roller skaters from Mysore have gone on to represent the country in Asian Games and World championships. Skaters in Ice-skating and Speed skating from Mysore have gone on to represent the country in the International level.
The Vishwamithra Roller skating Club, Rao’s Roller skating Club have been promoting the sport in Mysore. The Mysore district roller skating association has been very active in conducting tournaments from time to time.
Late Sridhar Rao, Srikanth Rao have rendered good service for the development of the sport in Mysore and in the State also. Srikanth Rao, Indian Coach and Ekalavya Awardee guides a lot of youngsters.
