The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka, Chamundivihar stadium, Nazarbad, Mysore has a Sports Hostel which has facility for coaching of girls in athletics, hockey, gymnastics, volleyball , and basketball. Coaching is provided by well trained coaches from the Sports Authority of Karnataka. The Deputy Director, DYES, Mysore, is in-charge of the sports hostel.
Selections for the sports hostel is conducted every year. The Government provides free lodging, coaching, kits, clothing and also enrolls the girls to the nearby school and college for education.

An indoor multipurpose stadium with facility for playing basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, table tennis, wrestling, Wushu, Adventure wall climbing is existing.
A synthetic athletic track for athletics, synthetic turf for hockey, international standard swimming pool is available in the sports complex.
